iOS 18.2 could bring a new charging feature: BatteryIntelligence

Ana sayfa / Smartphones

Since Apple introduced artificial intelligence, many features have been added to Apple Intelligence. While the features added under Apple Intelligence are among the architects of the new iPhone 16 series, the company announced that Apple Intelligence will be gradually rolled out starting with iOS 18.1. Recent leaks suggest that the beta version of iOS 18.2 will include BatteryIntelligence.

According to recent leaks and analysis of iOS 18.2, a new feature called BatteryIntelligence has been discovered in the operating system. Information about the new battery feature is very limited, but initial estimates suggest that artificial intelligence will measure the detailed information of the battery and then show the user the time remaining to 100 percent charge. This leaked feature is thought to be able to make recommendations to the user with artificial intelligence to protect battery health and extend battery life.

Apart from Apple, when we look at the Android part, this feature has been available for many years, but since iOS is not an open source operating system like Android, it is not easy to look deeper into a hidden feature, and it is curious whether the BatteryIntelligence feature will bring another function other than showing the remaining charge time. This feature, which has been available on Android for years, can be used by creating a shortcut with some mathematical operations. However, users think that since Apple can bring this feature with artificial intelligence, the feature that will come with iOS 18.2 will be able to give a much more accurate response than the shortcuts tool and Android.

It may come earlier than expected: iOS 18.2 update date leaked!

The date for the iOS 18.2 update, which will be released by Apple and will bring many features, may have been announced.

Last year with the iPhone 15 series, Apple added new charging settings for the battery health of iPhones with the iPhone 15 series. With these settings, users have three options such as charging the entire phone battery, turning off battery protection and charging only 80 percent of the battery. For iPhone 14 and previous series, only the first two options are available in the battery settings section. In addition, according to analysts, this feature is not expected to come to iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models that do not receive artificial intelligence support.

So what do you think about the new BatteryIntelligence? Please don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
